Community Connections Volunteer
Leckhampton Court Hospice
About the role
In this role you’ll be working alongside our Community Engagement Coordinator to build to connections within the local community. You’ll deliver talks about the work we do and reach out to marginalised groups that might usually be less likely to access our support.
Tasks might include:
- Delivering talks to community groups, businesses, faith groups, healthcare professionals etc.
- Helping shape people’s understanding of what end of life and bereavement care looks like, and who it is for (everyone!)
- Hosting stalls at community events to share how individuals, families and health and care professionals can access, and find out more about our services.
How often we’d like your support
We hope you’ll volunteer for at least three hours each week, but all our roles are flexible and should be discussed with your line manager.

You might not have experience of everything on this list. That’s fine; finding the right person is more important to us than ticking all the boxes.

responsibilities:
- Completing the relevant checks and training needed for the role.
- Following Sue Ryder policies and procedures
- Showing a positive attitude towards diversity and inclusion
- Showing a commitment to Sue Ryder’s core values and behaviours
- Understanding their responsibility relating to data protection
