Our Cheltenham based Energy Assessment company has experienced great success in the last few years and so we now want to expand our team.

We are looking to employ an energy assessor who can provide energy and sustainability assessments for buildings as well as on-site compliance testing. If you already have experience in these areas or simply want to start a career in our industry then make sure to contact us.

The person we are looking for:
We are after someone who enjoys working as part of a small team, but we also expect you to be capable of working independently. As such, you should be comfortable prioritising your own workload and meet set deadlines. At the same time, we want you to be able to confidently communicate with clients and provide excellent customer service.

What we would like you to do:
We want you to be involved in a wide range of projects. With our support, we want you to
• carry out assessments on buildings which may include:
o Domestic EPCs
o SAP Calculations
o SBEM Calculations
o Non-Domestic EPCs
o Air Permeability Testing
o Sound Testing
o Ventilation Flow Rate Testing
o BREEAM Assessments
• liaise with clients on projects and work through issues
• manage project workload

What we expect from you to bring to the role:
• Maths and English GCSEs grade C and above or equivalent.
• You need to be comfortable with arithmetic and geometry.
• You will need to have good interpersonal skills as communicating effectively with team members and clients is vital.
• Full driving licence.
• Good IT skills and familiarity with Windows and Microsoft Office programmes.
• You will need to be able to organise your own workload and work to deadlines.

What really excites us:
We are more after the right person as we are willing to provide training and professional development. However, if you have qualifications or background in the energy and sustainability of buildings industry (e.g. OCDEA, NDEA, DipDEA, BREEAM etc.) then we are really interested in hearing from you.

What’s in it for you:
Depending on your experience, you can expect an annual salary between £22,000 and £30,000. In addition, we offer 21 days holiday per year (not including Christmas office closure of four days and not including bank holidays where the office is also closed). We are also happy to offer five additional days of leave that can be obtained through length of service.

Each of our employees is entitled to a pension which includes employer contributions.
Apart from all this, you can be part of a growing company. Don’t be surprised to gain experience and insight in many areas.

More about us:
Based in Gloucestershire, Fenton Energy tackles building projects across the country. Fenton Energy started out focussing on domestic energy assessments but have since expanded our offering to include a wide range of services to our clients.

We believe in being part of the community and contribute to charity initiatives, local ecclesiastical organisations as well as sports clubs.
