Part-Time College Transport Driver - REQ000926

Stroud

FTE Salary: Up to £21,768 (Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience)

Contract Type: Fixed Term until 31st July 2024, Term Time only

Working Hours: 30 hours per week, 36 weeks per year (6hrs per day - 3 hrs am and 3 hrs pm).

If you are looking for a role to fit in with your family commitments. SGS College has an exciting opportunity for a Part-time College Transport Driver. The hours are 7am to 10 am and 3pm to 6pm.

This is a key role in transporting learners in our seven or nine seater vehicles from their home (located in the South Gloucestershire region) to the Stroud Campus for early morning and then the return journey at the end of the college day.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• Transporting students from their home address to college and back again.
• To maintain and clean the vehicle on a daily basis, ensuring the vehicle is kept clean for use prior to each trip
• To carry out vehicle checking process prior to each use

To maintain and clean the vehicle and report any mechanical defects immediately that renders the vehicle unsafe to drive. To ensure a safe, secure, clean and comfortable environment is maintained for staff and learners on a day-to-day basis.

Beneficial Skills & Qualifications

• Hold a full clean driving licence
• MIDAS Minibus driving test or willingness to work towards one within first 6 months of appointment
• To be aware of Health & Safety requirements for learners and drivers
• Have the Right to Work in the UK
• Reliable and patient with a caring nature
