Project Worker (female only*) Permanent

Stroud

We are an independent charity providing women’s refuge and related support services to people who have experienced domestic abuse.

37 Hours per week, generally Monday-Friday 9am until 5pm

We are looking for candidates with experience in supported housing, specialist domestic abuse provision, social care or similar or those who can clearly demonstrate that they have the qualifications, skills and qualities required and are willing to undertake training.

This is an exciting and varied position and involves delivering a range of support services including one-to-one work and group activities within our women’s refuge and local community.

You will be working in a fast paced and changing environment and will need to prioritise a busy workload while working effectively with a range of people with diverse needs including those in immediate crisis. Our ideal candidate will have exceptional skills in support work and will have a calm, empathetic yet empowering approach.  You will have the skills to support people to overcome multiple disadvantages, build confidence, self-esteem, life-skills and achieve long term independence. Being able to work as part of a team both inside our organisation and with partnering agencies is essential.

Salary: £24, 702- £28,770pa depending on experience
