We have a full teaching position within our team working 37 hours over 40 weeks (term time plus one week).

With an understanding of a post 16 curriculum that prepares young people for adulthood, you will have experience of planning and delivering innovative and person-centred sessions to young people with learning difficulties and disabilities.

If you hold a relevant teaching qualification at level 5 or above, we would be especially keen to hear from you if you have experience in planning and delivering an enriched and exciting curriculum for: Digital Literacy / Digital Technology, Social Enterprise, Functional Skills, English and Maths within a SEND (Special Education Needs) environment.

Your assessment of starting points, distance travelled, differentiated teaching skills that support young people to develop their skills, knowledge and experience for the wider world, as well as recognition and recording of progress, will meet required professional standards and ensure high quality provision for our students.

It goes without saying that you will be a first-class communicator, who is creative, proactive and forward-thinking. You will need to possess excellent team working skills to successfully collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, building positive relationships with students, colleagues, and external stakeholders to maximise learning, independence and wellbeing in order to enable students to achieve aspirational and personalised outcomes.

National Star College is at the forefront of innovative teaching practice. Join our team and develop your career to become an expert in the field of specialist education.
