About The Team & Role

In Gloucestershire, our focus is on enabling an inclusive education system, providing the right support at the right time and in the right place. As a local authority we are committed to improving outcomes for children and young people and are investing in our capacity through creating additional posts within Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) service and other SEND services to help us to meet local need.

We have an exciting opportunity available within our Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP) Support Team. Our warm, friendly, and welcoming team are looking for a EHCP Process Coordinator to join our busy, dedicated Support Service team working alongside our Case Worker team.

Our EHCP team provide a high-quality service for Gloucestershire, ensuring that as a local authority we meet statutory and legislative requirements for Education, Health and Care Plans and Annual Reviews. 

Education, Health and Care Support Service duties are varied, and no two days will be the same.  You will be the first point of contact for children/young people with EHC Plans and their families throughout Gloucestershire. Dealing with queries from a variety of internal and external customers using various channels both traditional and contemporary.  Responsible for actioning requests for Statutory Assessments, Annual Reviews ensuring they are issued/actioned in line with legislative requirements.

By joining our team, you will have the opportunity to make a significant difference to the children, young people and their families This is a high demanding role that contributes to the development of an inclusive and appropriate education for all children and young people with SEND in our community.

As a member of our support team, we will rely on your excellent organisational skills to allow you to prioritise tasks and ensure tight legal deadlines are met.

 

You’ll be an excellent communicator, with interpersonal skills that enable you to confidently respond  to complex conversations and show empathy for the challenges resulting in achieving positive outcomes. Your experience of working within a high pressured fast paced environment makes you a fast learner, able to follow work instructions and look for continuous improvements in how we do things.
