About the Role

An Invigilator plays a key role in ensuring examinations are conducted fairly, securely and in accordance with awarding body regulations and college or university procedures. They are responsible for preparing examination rooms, supervising candidates during examinations, maintaining exam conditions, and ensuring all examination materials are handled securely. Invigilators help create a calm and professional environment that allows students to perform to the best of their ability while safeguarding the integrity of the examination process.

About You

The ideal Invigilator is reliable, vigilant and professional, with excellent attention to detail and the confidence to follow procedures accurately. Punctuality, excellent organisational skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality at all times is essential.

You should be approachable and able to communicate clearly with students and staff while remaining calm under pressure.

You may have previous experience in the public sector, education, customer service or similar people-facing roles, but you should have the ability to work effectively with young people. Above all, you should be committed to ensuring all candidates have a fair and positive examination experience.
