About the role:
Based at our Horton Centre in Gloucester, you will be working predominantly with small groups of KS4 students to deliver a broad vocational curriculum. As a Vocational Teacher you will plan and deliver outdoor education, life skills and learning outside of the classroom, providing opportunities for students to build positive relationships with staff, each other and their wider community. The role involves working collaboratively in the development of the offsite learning curriculum to support the delivery of the Gateway Vocational Qualification, whilst also providing support for the smooth running of the Horton Centre.

The Altus School is a local authority maintained alternative provision school, working with students from Year 1 through to Y11 who predominantly join us after a permanent exclusion from a mainstream setting. We are a growing school with 7 centres, plus our new primary satellite classroom in a mainstream school, across Gloucestershire and as of September we will have capacity for 328 students.
