Clerk to Governors
Start date A.S.A.P – Part time, Permanent
2.37 hours per week Term Time only
Grade 6 pts 15 – 20 £27,803 - £30,296, pro-rata

The role will be term time only, plus inset training, (39 weeks per year) for 93 hours spread across the year. The time will vary across the term time to meet the needs of each meeting. There are 9 Governor Body meetings per year. Meetings will usually be held out of school hours face to face or via Zoom and will last approximately 3 hours. There will be ad hoc occasions when the role will be required in school during the school day. The Clerk may be asked to take on additional paid work for meetings according to need.

Central to this role is preparing for, taking notes at and producing minutes for meetings. This position is with immediate effect and the new clerk will receive full support and training.
We are looking for a person who is highly organised and a self-motivated, can provide effective administrative support to the Governing Body, can provide advice to the Board on governance, constitutional & procedural matters, who manages information confidentially in line with legal requirements, who is willing to attend training to ensure information and procedures are up to date.
