Health and Safety Advisor (FTC) - R6846

Job Description Renishaw is looking for a motivated and engaging Health and Safety PUWER & Risk Assessor/Advisor to join our friendly and driven company on a 12 months FTC Salary: £34K to £38K depending on experience. We aim to deliver an outstanding Health, Safety & Wellbeing service to all our colleagues here at Renishaw and that could start with you. The role will be to support the business ensuring all working equipment is assessed in line with PUWER 1991and company procedures across all of Renishaw’s UK sites, helping our colleagues with any queries during assessment and keeping our Health & Safety Management System (Alcumus) up to date with records gained during assessments. The individual will be somebody who is able to work across all levels of our organisation and be able to engage / work with Divisional Safety Managers. You will also use your knowledge and skills to promote a positive Health and Safety culture in the workplace. The Business is about to engage in hybrid working model where you can work part of the working week at the workplace and part remotely. Responsibilities Developing / writing / reviewing policies / procedures / documents in line with current UK legislation Supporting Divisional Safety Mangers (DSM’S) with Health & Safety meetings Work with Divisional Safety Managers to ensure staff are Health and Safety compliant in their day-to-day duties. Ensure equipment is installed correctly. Contributing to producing newsletters and bulletins Conducting on-site risk assessments, including PUWER assessments Supporting and promoting Wellbeing initiatives Job type – Fixed term (12 month) Based at New Mills, Wotton-under edge, with some travel. Key requirements Full UK Driving Licence IOSH Managing Safely / Working towards NEBOSH General Certificate in a safety related field. Qualification / Experience of PUWER assessments Experience of working within international organisations PC literate and competent user of Microsoft Office programs Experience of working within a complex Health and Safety environment with an engineering background Strong organisational, time management skills and a collaborator Awareness of Health and Safety Wellbeing Benefits When you join Renishaw, we're committing to your future career.
