HOURS: 08.00 – 17.00 Monday - Friday (Call out on rota basis)

Vacancy - Multi skilled Maintenance Engineer

An opportunity exists for a Multi Skilled Engineer to join our client, based predominantly near Stonehouse with occasional travel to site in Wiltshire site. This day shift role (with call out) requires the successful candidate to work in an industrial food manufacturing environment as part of a small team of highly skilled engineers, providing the routine maintenance and breakdown cover required to deliver production availability 24/7.

Responsibilities:

• To work in co-operation with the production and engineering teams/ contractors in ensuring that all packing machines are operating efficiently and providing optimum performance.

• To be aware of and to implement all Company and Site Process and Engineering Standards.

• Any failures/requests for concessions to be reported to the Management Team.

• To contribute to the control of the site engineering spares policy in conjunction with the engineering teams / contractors.

• To ensure all corrective maintenance requirements are carried out in a timely and efficient manner. Communication of progress to the relevant personnel is essential.

• Contribute to improvement, compliance and awareness of Health and Safety, Environmental and Hygiene standards.

• Ensure compliance with all legal requirements including Health and Safety, Environmental, Hygiene, Food Safety, HACCP , BRC

Requirements:
• Multi-skilled engineering qualifications

• Competent workshop technician

• Core Electrical / Mechanical Qualification

• Most recent Edition / Electrical Qualification

• P.C. Skills

• Knowledge of planned maintenance systems

• P.L.C Diagnostics and Software modifications.

• Maintenance of the P.L.C. network.

• To be a good communicator, able to build effective relations internally at all levels.

• Be a team player.

• To be flexible, willing and have a positive approach to changing circumstances.
