Import / Export Supervisor - R8122

Job Description Salary range: Up to £36,000 depending on experience Hybrid working: 3 days per week in the office Location: Woodchester, Gloucestershire As our Import and Export Supervisor, you will oversee the imports and exports operations team ensuring compliance with relevant trade regulations and Renishaw policies. You will work to produce and monitor monthly statistics to manage risk to the business, work productively and escalate issues to compliance team as necessary. You will be involved in the day-to-day work, supporting the team and taking on project work for the area. The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, self-motivated and possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. An effective problem solver with a meticulous attention to detail. The ability to work effectively in a team environment and on their own initiative. Responsibilities Oversee imports and exports operations and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policy Lead and motivate the import and export operations team, providing guidance and support Produce and monitor monthly statistics to manage business risks effectively, escalate issues and work productively Work closely with logistics team to monitor performance of Freight Forwarders and Fast Parcel Operators, ensuring required amendments are requested in a timely manner and recorded effectively Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices, making recommendations for continuous improvements Assist with the IP (Inward Processing) operational process in terms of ensuring adherence to HMRC requirements – this will involve close liaison with the Customs Compliance team Create, maintain and develop relevant import and export operational procedures and processes in line with advice from compliance team Undertake various areas of project work related to import and export activities Key requirements Proven experience in import and/or export operations Good understanding of international trade regulations Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to lead and motivate a team, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies Effective problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail A high level of computer literacy, including Microsoft Excel Desirable Formal recognised qualifications gained in import/export processes Experience of working with special customs procedures Working knowledge of ERP systems such as SyteLine, import/export software, MSS (Management Support System) data and CDS (Customs Declaration Service) Benefits When you join Renishaw, we're committing to your future career.
