Workshop Assistant for Online Craft Business - Workshop Assistant

Gloucester

We are looking for a reliable and self-motivated individual to help for 9hr/week with crafting products and filling orders for our online/Etsy-type small business. You will be doing light workshop work (drilling, tapping threads, gluing, packaging) to make the products, and fulfilling online orders all from a workshop in central Gloucester.

Pay: £13.45 per hour PAYE (made up of £12.00 per hour Real Living Wage + 12.07% holiday pay in lieu)

Shifts: 3 x 3-hour shifts per week. Flexibility would be appreciated as this is a growing and seasonal business, e.g. around the Christmas period more hours are likely. Time and days of shifts can be flexible subject to discussion.

Location: Morelands Trading Estate, GL1 5RZ (central Gloucester)

Responsibilities:
-> Creating small craft products via an established process
-> Picking and packing online orders
-> Keeping a stock management system up to date
-> Dropping bags off at the post office
-> Responding to customer enquiries
-> etc

Person specification (try to cover these points in your cover letter when you apply):
-> You will be alone most of the time so will need to be happy with independent working. Desirable to be able to show past experience which demonstrates that you are motivated and able to get on with work without supervision.
-> The products are quite small and fiddly so good hand dexterity is a plus!
-> Attention to detail essential.
