Early Years Nursery Manager
Cheltenham
Little Sunshines Day Care are searching for a caring, dedicated and inspirational nursery manager to join and lead the team at our privately owned setting in Bishops Cleeve.
Essentials and Key Responsibilities:
- A passion and excitement for early years, ensuring that the highest quality of care and learning opportunities are provided
- A professional confidence to communicate and engage effectively with children, parents, staff members and other professionals
- A dedicated leader who is creative and inspiring to take responsibility for all aspects of managing the day to day running of the nursery
- Named suitable person in charge of the nursery for all operational and regulatory aspects including safeguarding, health and safety and child protection within the setting
- Maintain accurate and up to date systems and records at all time
- Budget managing
- Take part in recruitment using “Safer Recruitment” practices
- Directly responsible for the effective leadership of the staff team, providing training, coaching and mentoring for all staff
Keep up to date with the latest Ofsted requirements via their website, implementing any changes required for 'Best Practice'.
Minimum requirements
- Minimum of a full and relevant Early Years Level 3 Qualification
- Minimum of a C or equivalent in Maths.
- Knowledge and experience of delivering the EYFS, Ofsted inspections and Working Together to Safeguard Children
- At least three years of experience, working within an early years setting
Desirable
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a leadership/managerial role within a nursery setting
