Finance Manager
Gloucester
This is a newly created role designed to support the organisations continued growth, strengthening financial management, reporting, and governance.
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented finance professional who can deliver accurate, high-quality financial information and support organisational growth. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical accounting skills with the ability to communicate financial insights clearly. They will demonstrate sound judgement, a commitment to strong financial governance, and the ability to improve systems and processes. Experience in managing or supporting a small finance team, alongside a collaborative and business-partnering approach, is essential, as is the ability to work effectively with operational and clinical stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
Hours: Flexible -Ideally 30 hours to full time
Salary: £50,000 WTE
Reporting to: Head of Finance
Line Reports: Finance Officer and Finance Assistant
Main duties of the job
The postholder will lead the production of accurate and insightful management accounts, drive robust budgeting and forecasting processes, and provide clear financial analysis to inform decision-making at senior and Board level. With responsibility for maintaining strong financial controls and regulatory compliance, the role will also focus on improving systems, processes, and data quality as the organisation scales. In addition, it will provide operational leadership to the finance team, oversee day-to-day financial activities, and act as a trusted business partner to clinical and operational leaders to ensure sustainable financial performance.
