Description 

Are you passionate about tackling financial crime and ensuring the security of your local community? If so, Gloucestershire Constabulary is looking for a Financial Intelligence Officer to join its Economic Crime Team.

As a Financial Intelligence Officer (FIO), you will play a vital role in identifying and disrupting criminal activity by gathering and analysing financial intelligence. You will work closely with Financial Investigators and Fraud Investigators to identify opportunities for disruption and to assist in building cases against criminal organisations and individuals involved in money laundering, fraud, and other financial crimes.

This is a full time role of 37 hours per week.  There may also be an opportunity for the post holder to progress on to the NCA Financial Investigator Training Program.

The successful candidate is required to obtain vetting at a level of MV SC

If you’re not qualified, you should also be prepared to undertake and pass the NCA Financial Intelligence Officer Course as this is essential.  This will involve the passing of the FIO exam and the completion of a Personal Development Portfolio which will involve on the job assessment by a Tutor.  Once completed, you will be expected to maintain your FIO status with the NCA by way of ongoing Continued Professional Development.

Candidates with previous experience in Financial Crime Intelligence or Intelligence development are preferred, however full training will be provided.  They must be proficient in using Microsoft Office software and have excellent communication skills.
