Job summary
The Macmillan Head and Neck Clinical Nurse Specialist is a critical link between the patient and the medical teams. They are driven with a deep desire to advocate for their patient, and to guide them through their cancer journey. We are looking for an individual who is highly motivated, enthusiastic, organised, compassionate, reliable and flexible who can prioritise their workload and demonstrate excellence in cancer care.
Main duties of the job
The candidate would show excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team and autonomously. You will need to be approachable, act as a role model and uphold the best standards of care for patients. The candidate will need to show ability to work effectively under pressure and manage challenging situations. You would need to have a keen interest in caring for head and neck patients to ensure patient centered care is delivered to meet patients' holistic care needs.
About us
The Head and Neck Clinical Nurse team includes 3 Clinical Nurse Specialists and a Support Worker. You would be working within the multidisciplinary team including consultants and clinical teams in ENT and OMF, Matron, General Managers, Speech and Language Therapists (SALT), dietitians, outpatient and ward nursing teams.
