About the Role:

  • Support the effective utilisation of Hartpury’s equine facilities, through the coordination and delivery of equestrian events and facility bookings
  • Support the commercial success of the Equine Centre through the effective administration of facility hires, competitions and events. Work as part of a dedicated and highly motivated team delivering equestrian competitions at local, national and international level
  • Support the delivery of unaffiliated and affiliated events across local, national, and international levels
  • Assist in the planning, organisation and delivery of a wide range of equestrian competitions, including dressage, show jumping and eventing activities.
  • Support opportunities that enhance the student experience through volunteering, work experience and practical learning opportunities linked to equestrian activities

About You:

  • You will have excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills, and be confident using IT systems and have a flexible approach to work
  • Experience within equine events or a similar environment would be advantageous
  • Experience supporting events or customer-focused activities and be able to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • A hands-on approach to event delivery, supporting the setup, operation and breakdown of competitions and events whilst maintaining high standards of presentation and safety
  • Confident supporting and guiding students, volunteers and work experience placements to ensure they gain valuable practical experience within a professional event environment
  • Build positive relationships with facility hirers, competitors and other stakeholders, providing excellent customer service and supporting the successful delivery of external events
  • Willing to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays, in line with the operational requirements of the competition calendar

Salary: £27,371 - £28,874 per annum, based on an FTE of £25,660 - £27,069 per annum
