Homelessness Relief Officer - Refugees
Cirencester
Do you want to be part of a Team of Housing Professionals working with vulnerable people to empower them to find solutions to their housing needs? This may be the job for you!
About the role…
In this role you will be at the forefront of helping Ukrainian and other refugees secure stable and suitable housing. You will be responsible for assessing legal housing duties and the provision of temporary accommodation on behalf of Cotswold and Forest of Dean District Councils.
This role will also involve visiting applicants in their homes or temporary accommodation.
If you are compassionate and proactive with experience in the housing sector we would love to hear from you.
You will be required to travel between Cotswold and Forest of Dean District Councils.
You will need…
- GCSEs (5 A-Cs or equivalent, including Maths and English)
- Experience of working in a Housing or Homelessness focused service
- Experience of working with vulnerable people
- Experience of working with people with complex needs
- Experience of multi-agency working
- Experience recording and dealing with data accurately and effectively
Special Conditions…
Ability to travel throughout the district and to our other Publica offices.
