This is a fantastic opportunity to join our supportive and friendly IT team and gain practical hands-on experience whilst also completing your IT qualification at Gloucester College.

The Role

We will give you with the training you need in order to provide support and maintenance for the company’s IT systems, including the provision of desktop support to all business users.

Responsibilities

  • To provide 1st line, desk side and remote IT Support to all users
  • To escalate IT issues to the IT manager and/or IT team where necessary
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and escalate when needed
  • Repairing IT equipment within the office
  • Trouble shooting IT issues
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals
  • Maintain endpoint security
  • To complete internal user moves, including phones
  • To create new users and disabling expired accounts in accordance with HR requirements

Requirements

  • GCSE grade4/C or above in maths and English or equivalent
  • GCSE grade 4/C or above in a technology subject
  • A full driving licence will also be required
  • A team player with a naturally flexible approach
  • Confident to speak to customers both face to face and over the phone
  • Pays close attention to detail and takes pride in getting things right
  • Ability to analyse and solve problems
  • Quick to learn
  • Good IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft 365 products (Windows, Outlook, Excel, Word)
