Job title – Software Developer - C#, JavaScript
Salary - £40,000 - £55,000 depending on experience
Hours - Monday – Friday – 08:30 – 17:00 (At Gardiner Bros we encourage Hybrid working so are open to people based in UK willing to travel to HQ in Gloucester once a month)

What are we looking for in a Software Developer?
We are looking for an experienced Software Developer to work within our in-house software development team, you will be responsible for creating and delivering exciting solutions to allow the core business to better manage its processes and dataflow. This includes the creation of web applications and APIs supporting the needs of our business, our customers, and other external parties.
The Senior Developer will be someone who:
- Has expert-level knowledge of C#, .Net framework / .Net Core, and RESTful API
- Has expert-level knowledge of OOP, SOLID principles, and Software Design Patterns
- Strong knowledge of ASP.Net MVC, Web API and applying best practices
- Good knowledge of developing solutions that interact with the MS SQL database platform
- Has experience working with test frameworks such as MSTest/NUnit or equivalent. (Not essential)
- Front end web development experience in React (or Angular) is beneficial
- Ideally has some exposure of working with Azure compute and messaging workloads (not essential)
- Has some exposure of working on Azure Pipelines preferably writing and maintaining Pipelines and ARM Templates. (Not essential)
- Has experience of working in a fast-paced business
- Has worked on implementing and maintaining complex bespoke distributed solutions
- Has experience working in an Agile/Kanban/Scrum development environment
What will the Software Developer role entail?
As a Software Developer your primary focus will be designing, developing, and maintaining scalable technical solutions that support the business and our continued growth and success.
- Design and develop reliable and performant software solutions to meet new business requirements
- Extend existing applications to improve business processes.
- Test and understand the impact on performance & reliability of changes to the platform
- Contribute to the continued improvement in the team’s processes, tools and output
