Job Description Salary £60,000 - £65,000 depending on experience Location Wotton-under-Edge, Gloucestershire Hybrid 3 days/week on site (please note, no public transport available) Renishaw is seeking an experienced IT Sourcing and Vendor Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the sourcing, renewal and procurement of software, solutions and services, as well as managing relationships with vendors. The successful candidate in this new role will take a strategic, collaborative and practical approach to vendor selection, and support of negotiation and performance management. This will ensure cost-effective and engaged suppliers, progress towards Group targets, and support of business areas requiring enterprise technology solutions. Key responsibilities Develop and implement sourcing strategies for IT software, solutions and services. Develop and maintain an IT vendor management framework to ensure effective governance and risk management, within Renishaw's central framework. Work closely and collaboratively with the Procurement team on an ongoing basis to: Improve sourcing, renewal & vendor management processes. Monitor vendor performance & ensure compliance with contractual obligations. Manage vendor relationships & performance evaluations. Ensure timely and effective resolution of vendor-related issues. Support contract negotiation to save or avoid costs and improve service delivery. Conduct market research to identify potential vendors and assess their capabilities. Prepare and present reports on sourcing activities and vendor performance to senior management. Build and maintain productive working relationships with internal stakeholders, understanding their technology needs and ensuring vendor solutions meet those requirements. Ensure this new role quickly becomes productive through close collaboration with Renishaw’s central Procurement, Accounts Payable and Finance teams. Key requirements At least 3 years of experience in IT sourcing, procurement and/or vendor management. Proven track record of managing vendor relationships and negotiating contracts. Knowledge of IT products and services, as well as market trends. Willingness for occasional travel to meet with vendors or attend industry events. An effective individual contributor able to coordinate and guide procurement activities across matrixed teams in a multi-project environment. Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: a collaborative relationship-builder. Able to make good decisions within tight deadlines, incorporating diverse perspectives.
