Must have’s

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong customer service skills with a calm, friendly approach
  • A genuine interest in technology and IT

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Positive, proactive and team-focused attitude

Nice to have’s

  • Basic understanding of IT terminology and systems
  • Previous customer service or helpdesk experience
  • Confidence explaining technical concepts to non-technical users

So, what will you be doing?

  • Acting as the first point of contact for customers needing technical support
  • Providing first-line support via phone and ticketing systems
  • Logging, prioritising and managing incidents and service requests
  • Resolving issues at first point of contact wherever possible
  • Escalating more complex problems to specialist teams
  • Keeping customers updated throughout the lifecycle of their ticket
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation
  • Liaising with third-party suppliers to support resolutions
  • Following security and compliance procedures at all times
  • Supporting team projects and continuous improvement initiatives

Working hours

  • Shift rota between 8:00am – 4:30pm, 9:30am – 6:00pm and 11:30am – 8:00pm
  • Approximately 1 in 6 weekends required, with time off either side
