This is a Permanent, Full Time vacancy.

The Vacancy

Dean Close Foundation are looking to appoint a Kitchen Porter to join our Catering Department. This is a full-time role, working 40 hours per week across 5 days and during term time, 34 weeks per year.

To assist in the provision of a professional food service to the pupils and staff at the school, with specific responsibility for the standard of cleanliness and hygienic operation of the Kitchen, Dining room and associated areas, including the cleanliness of light and heavy equipment and utensils.

Other roles and responsibilities to include:

To assist at service times, as directed, in a friendly and helpful manner.
To assist in the day-to-day receiving, checking and storing all stock coming into the kitchen.
Always ensure all Fridges/Freezers, Storage rooms, Bin area, delivery area, and kitchen are always kept clean and tidy
To report any customer complaints or comments and act, if at all possible, to satisfy the customer.
Rotate stock by date code. Older stock needs to be rotated when new stock arrives
