Description: Gloucestershire College is recruiting an STLS Lecturer to join our Education department.
Our Education department provides a pathway for adult learners to progress to being outstanding teaching assistants. The department offers focused courses designed to prepare students for work in schools. Students develop key skills such as practical experience in schools, theoretical understanding of school settings, supporting various activities within schools, as well as, developing their own skills in writing assessments.

This course is aimed at individuals who want to gain a certificate in being a teacher assistant for their own personal growth as well as those who want to become a TA.

The department also provides additional support, including tutoring, career advice, and personal development. By creating a supportive learning environment, the Education department plays a crucial role in helping students build the confidence and skills they need to succeed in schools.
Our Education department is based at our Cheltenham campus but also offers courses in our Gloucester campus. There is some flexibility in terms of hours and days, though some evening teaching will be required. The role requires you to be able to drive to other settings to complete observations.

Package: 38 days annual leave, plus an additional 3 days during Christmas closure and auto enrolment into the Teachers Pension Scheme.
Contractual hours: 25
Basis: Part time
