About the team and the role 

 

Library Assistant –Fairford Library=15.25 hours per week average: 

 

Week 1:Wednesday 9.00-5.00 (7hrs), Thursday 9.30-5.00 (6.5hrs) Saturday 9.0-1.00 (4hrs) =17.5

Week 2:Wednesday 9.30-5.00 (6.5hrs), Thursday 9.30-5.00 (6.5 hrs)=13hrs

 

Closing date Sunday 9th June (Midnight) expected interview date Thursday 12th June 2025

 

An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a part time team member to the Stroud & Cotswold cluster of libraries within the Gloucestershire area. We are looking for a dynamic, positive and committed individual who will play a key role in the day-to-day operations, development and organisation of Fairford library.

 

Library Assistants are the public face of the Library Service, you are responsible for ensuring that our users have access to all the services that the libraries provide and delivering activities and events such as Baby Bounce and Rhyme and Sensory Story times. You’ll need to master the library ICT systems and be able to offer basic advice on the use of computers and tablets to those who require it.
