Engineer (electrical or mechanical)

Location: Herefordshire

We are seeking a skilled Conventional & Robotic Milking Machine Engineer. This role involves the installation, servicing, and repair of conventional and robotic milking machines, as well as associated equipment, ensuring customer satisfaction and compliance with industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, service, and repair milking machines and associated equipment.
Ensure all work meets legal and industry compliance standards.
Complete necessary documentation, including job sheets and time sheets.
Participate in an on-call rota for emergency maintenance.
Provide excellent customer service and technical support.
Maintain high safety standards in line with the Health & Safety at Work Act.

Candidate Requirements:

Engineering Qualifications - Time-served apprenticeship or formal qualifications in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
Experience - Engineering background in maintenance and/or installation.
Technical Skills - Strong electrical and mechanical skills with good IT proficiency.
Communication - Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
Teamwork & Independence - Ability to work independently while being a team player.
Flexibility - Willingness to work beyond core hours when required.
Driving License - Full UK driving license.

Desirable:

Experience with dairy equipment and milking machines.
Skills in pipe fitting (stainless/copper/PVC) and stainless-steel welding.
Strong problem-solving ability with creative flair.
