Director of People and Culture - REQ01803

Are you a passionate and innovative HR leader? Would you thrive in a dynamic and forward-thinking educational environment? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you as the Director of People and Culture at Gloucestershire College.
Situated in three campuses across the county and employing over 700 people, Gloucestershire College is a large, successful and financially resilient College, that was judged as Good in our 2022 inspection. We are looking for a values driven professional to lead on the development of our People and Culture strategy that underpins all that we do.
As a key member of our Executive Team, reporting directly to the Principal, you will also play a pivotal role in shaping all aspects of the future of our College.
Your remit will include:
- Leading the development and execution of our progressive People and Culture strategy, aligning it with our strategic goals.
- Unleashing the potential of our employees - you will champion our their growth, development, and well-being by Implementing innovative talent management initiatives, fostering a culture of continuous learning, and creating pathways for professional advancement.
- Shaping an inclusive and diverse environment where everyone feels valued and respected, by collaborating with stakeholders to embed our values throughout the organisation, championing workplace diversity, and driving initiatives that enhance employee engagement and satisfaction.
- Attracting and retaining talent - as the face of recruitment, you will lead efforts to attract and retain top talent into our organisation by developing robust recruitment strategies, implementing best practices in selection and onboarding, and creating a proposition that sets us apart as an employer of choice.
- Driving excellence - championing the development and implementation of performance management frameworks, ensuring clarity of expectations, fostering a culture of high performance, and recognising and rewarding achievements.
- Leading and developing a team of HR professionals.
