Experienced & Trainee - EDM Wire/Spark Erosion Setter-Operator

Elite Extrusion Die Ltd design and manufacture extrusion dies and other tooling for the aluminium extrusion profile industry.

Established in 1986, we are an expanding company with a worldwide customer base.

We are situated minutes away from M5 J11A and central to Gloucester, Cheltenham and Stroud.

We are seeking an Experienced & Trainee EDM Wire/Spark Erosion machine Setter-Operator to join our busy team of Extrusion Die Specialists. Working on FANUC wire erosion and JOEMAR spark erosion
machine tools.

Duties include: -

• Set & Operate Fanuc Alpha Wire Erosion Machines to wire cut profile shapes in extrusion die plates using pre-written CNC programs.
• Wire cut profiles into copper plates for use on the Spark Erosion Machines.
• Set & Operate Spark Erosion Machines to spark erode profile shapes into tooling.

You must be able to follow and retain instructions, read and understand engineering drawings. Accurately set up, measure and check parts.

Candidates must be fit & healthy, self-motivated and once fully trained, be able to work without supervision and as part of the team.

The role may suit an existing CNC setter / operator. Experience of EDM Wire or Spark Erosion would be useful but not strictly necessary as full training will be given.

For the Trainee role, no experience is necessary as full training will be given. Although an engineering background could be advantageous.

Overtime: Available at X1.5 rate.

Hours Per Week: 39

Day Shift: Monday – Thursday, 0800-1630, Friday 0800-1530.    

Holidays: 5 weeks (some reserved for Christmas) plus all bank holidays.
