General Manager – Interiors Showroom
Cheltenham | Full-Time, Permanent | Salary up to £55,000

About the Role
Our client, a well-established and growing interiors business, is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead daily operations and drive commercial performance. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute professional to take ownership of strategic and operational functions while maintaining a strong customer focus.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide full operational leadership across the business, ensuring consistent commercial performance
- Lead and develop the team, setting goals, KPIs and maintaining motivation
- Oversee showroom operations including diary management, scheduling, and workflow coordination
- Handle customer interactions both in person and digitally, offering expert product advice
- Manage order processing, purchasing, and supplier relationships to ensure cost-effective procurement
- Monitor and report on financial performance including margins, profitability, and business metrics
- Liaise with Head Office and provide regular business updates to Directors
Must-Have Skills & Experience
- Strong financial understanding including P&L management and balance sheet analysis
- Demonstrated commercial acumen with a track record of operational success
- Proven experience in a general management or senior operational role
Nice-to-Haves
- Excellent leadership and team motivation skills
- Industry experience in blinds, soft furnishings, or home interiors
- Familiarity with CRM systems (Carmen ideally) and accounting software such as Xero or Sage
