Operations Manager - VGL: Operations Manager

Longhope, Forest of Dean

Founded in the Forest of Dean 2010, Versarien Graphene Limited manufactures graphene materials as well as 3D printed concrete structures. We are looking for an experienced and skilled person to join our team to oversee the manufacturing of our products. This person will be responsible for the smooth running of the production facility and be happy to get their hands dirty. It is expected that this role will be split between the production floor and office.

Main Purpose of Job:
-VGL’s Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring the Production Facility operates in an efficient manner. This includes scheduling of works, machine upkeep and maintenance and completion of documentation related to production processes.
-The Operations Manager will also have administration tasks that support the business where necessary.
-The ideal candidate will have a practical mindset, experience scheduling works while working within the restrictions of Health and Safety and Quality (ie ISO9001 or similar) procedures.
-Liaise with the GM, CEO and production staff across the business to ensure production targets and delivery dates are achieved .
-Write procedures and complete production reports to track production output and product quality.
-Identify, cost and present production optimisation and/or improvement projects
-Ensure the site follows health and safety regulations with the ultimate goal of keep all staff safe
-Repair production equipment to ensure manufactured products conform to specification(s)
-Assist production operatives as required to ensure production targets and delivery dates are achieved 
-Manage incoming and outgoing logistics
-Produce and manage production side documentation in the form of Production Orders as well as quality control tracking documentation

Permanent Role: 40 hours per week - the successful candidate will need to be flexible and be prepared to work additional hours, during peaks in operational demand.
Pay: Negotiable, depending on experience and skills.
