Year 5 Class Teacher

What skills and experience we're looking for
Essential:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Proven experience teaching in Key Stage 2.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and contribute positively to a team.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Willingness to lead or support a curriculum subject.
Desirable:
• Experience of teaching upper KS2 (Years 5–6).
• Strong knowledge of the Year 5 curriculum and assessment requirements.
• Experience of preparing pupils for end-of-Key Stage assessments.
• Familiarity with inclusive teaching and SEND strategies.

We are looking for an enthusiastic part time year 5 class teacher to join our friendly, exciting and supportive team. You will be working alongside an experienced, forward thinking and creative team in Year 5 and across the school. We're seeking someone who is passionate, positive and committed to helping every child reach their full potential.
The post is offered as a salary of up to M4 on a permanent basis.
This is a part-time post for 0.66 FTE hours a week on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday starting 1st January 2026.
