We are a small primary school in the heart of the Cotswolds, easily accessed from Cheltenham and Gloucester. We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic Primary Teacher on a full time basis. You will be motivated to teach our children so they make the best possible progress in each and every lesson. This role is to teach a small class of Lower Key Stage 2 Y3/4 children. You will have support from colleagues and a teaching partner.

Key responsibilities:
• To ensure high quality teaching, effective use of resources and the highest standards of care, learning and achievement for all pupils.
• The role of KS2 Teacher is to work alongside teaching colleagues, under the direction of the Senior staff and Headteacher ensuring the best possible progress for all children.
• Promote and support the ethos of the school.
• Work to achieve the general and particular aims of the school, expressed in the School Values and the School Improvement Plan.
• To plan effectively to ensure pupils have the opportunity to meet their potential, notwithstanding differences of race and gender, and taking account of the needs of pupils who are under achieving or very able.
• To perform such other duties as may be requested from time to time, commensurate with the role
• To promote equality, diversity and inclusion and demonstrate this within the role, adhering to our Equal Opportunity Policy

You will:
• Have an up to date knowledge of the KS2 National Curriculum and assessment framework and experience of teaching KS2.
• Have experience of supporting students with SEND.
• Have Qualified Teacher Status / PGCE in Primary Education.
• Have GCSE Grade C or above in English and Maths.
• Have good communication skills written and verbal.
• Ensure high standards are maintained, progressed and promoted in all areas of work.
• Set an example of positive personal integrity and professionalism, with positive, appropriate and effective communications and relationships at all levels.
• Contribute to, share in and promote the wider and longer-term vision of Stow-on-the-Wold Primary School
