Hatherop C of E Primary School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, hard-working and highly motivated teacher to join our successful, happy and caring school in a mixed Reception/Pre-school class from September 2026.

We are looking for someone who is highly committed to providing the very best teaching and learning opportunities for the children, believing that every child can and will succeed. Promoting our Christian ethos is very important.

The successful candidate must be able to form positive relationships with children, the whole school and our community, be creative and have high expectations of behaviour and standards. Experience of teaching in the EYFS would be desirable but not essential.

As one of our valued teachers you will receive a comprehensive package of ongoing training linked to the needs of the children, the school and the continuing professional development of the teacher.

Please ensure you provide telephone numbers and e-mail addresses for your referees. We will seek references prior to interview.

In person visits to the school are welcomed. Please contact the office to arrange a suitable time.

This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and expects all staff, and volunteers, to share the same commitment. We require all new employees to complete an enhanced level criminal background check through the Disclosure and Barring Service. It is a condition of employment that the employee should not have been convicted of a criminal offence against children, nor have been dismissed, or resigned from, a previous employer for misconduct of a similar nature. Having a criminal record is not necessarily a bar to employment; it will depend on the nature, circumstances and background to the offence.
