Finlay Community School is a 2 Form Entry Inner City Primary School that is dedicated to providing an exceptional educational experience for all of its pupils. Class Teacher - Permanent
We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and inspirational Teacher to join the teaching team at Finlay Community School. This is a permanent, full-time position, with a start date 5th January 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and teach well-structured lessons to assigned classes, following the school's plans, curriculum, and schemes of work
• Assess, monitor, record, and report on the learning needs, progress, and achievements of assigned pupils, making accurate and productive use of assessment
• Adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of pupils
• Set high expectations which inspire, motivate, and challenge pupils
• Promote good progress and outcomes by pupils
• Demonstrate good subject and curriculum knowledge
• Co-ordinate a subject across the school.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience of teaching in Key Stage 2 (preferred, but not essential)

• Passionate and has a good understanding of teaching and learning based on evidence-based practice
• Demonstrates good understanding and empathy of children with complex additional needs

• Possesses a good sense of humour
