We are looking for a Class Teacher for Key Stage 1. This is an exciting opportunity to join Robinswood Primary Academy in Matson, Gloucester, and become an integral member of the teaching team.

Robinswood Primary is a two form entry primary school with its own pre-school, catering for children aged 3-11. At Robinswood Primary, we have high expectations, and the needs of our pupils are at the heart of all we do. Main responsibilities:
- Be responsible for the learning and achievement of all pupils in the class ensuring equality of opportunity for all
- Be responsible and accountable for achieving the highest possible standards in work and conduct
- Treat pupils with dignity, building relationships rooted in mutual respect, and at all times observing proper boundaries appropriate to a teacher’s professional position
- Work proactively and effectively in collaboration and partnership with learners, parents/carers, governors, other staff and external agencies in the best interests of pupils
- Act within the statutory frameworks, which set out their professional duties and responsibilities and in line with the duties outlined in the current School Teachers Pay and Conditions Document and Teacher Standards (2012)
- Take responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school
- Must contribute and adhere to the overall ethos, vision and values of the school
- Must carry out all duties in accordance with the school’s Health and Safety Policy and to contribute to the review of this policy
- Must be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to Safeguarding and Child Protection, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person

You will need:
- Qualified Teaching Status
- Experience of teaching pupils in EYFS/KS1/KS2
- An up to date knowledge of child protection training and commitment to the safeguarding of children
- Understanding of responsibilities under SEN Code of Practice
- Secure knowledge of National Curriculum / Early Years Foundation Stage
- Working knowledge of the principles of Assessment for Learning and be able to use this knowledge in classroom practice;
- To consistently demonstrate good to outstanding teaching;
- To demonstrate how to use the most appropriate teaching and learning strategies and resources to meet the needs of all pupils;
- Experience of using ICT effectively both in curriculum planning and teaching
- Respect for pupils’ social, cultural, linguistic, religious and ethnic backgrounds with an understanding of how these may affect their learning
- A range of strategies to promote good behaviour
- Knowledge and experience of developing a purposeful learning environment
