Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding SEN role in Gloucester?

Class People are currently recruiting for an SEN Learning Partner to join a supportive school in Gloucester. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Teaching Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and helping them make meaningful progress.

The Role

As an SEN Learning Partner, you will provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil, helping them access learning, build confidence and develop greater independence throughout the school day.

You will work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider school team to provide consistent and individualised support, helping the pupil overcome barriers to learning and feel confident within the school environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with additional needs
• Supporting access to the curriculum and classroom activities
• Building a positive and trusting relationship with the pupil
• Encouraging confidence, independence and engagement
• Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour
• Helping manage barriers to learning
• Working closely with teachers, the SENCO and other school staff
• Following individual support plans and contributing towards the pupil's progress
• Supporting the pupil's academic, social and emotional development

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children or young people and a genuine interest in supporting pupils with special educational needs.

You may have experience as a:

• SEN Teaching Assistant
• Teaching Assistant
• Learning Support Assistant
• 1:1 Teaching Assistant
• SEN Learning Partner
• Support Worker

Experience supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH or other additional needs would be beneficial.

We are looking for someone who is patient, calm and consistent, with excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with pupils. Most importantly, you will be reliable, caring and committed to helping children achieve their potential.
