Class People are delighted to be working with a supportive primary school in Gloucester seeking a dedicated and passionate Year 6 Teacher to join their team from January until the end of the academic year.
This is a full-time teaching position where you’ll play a crucial role in preparing pupils for their transition to secondary school, fostering confidence, curiosity, and achievement in every learner.
The school has a strong community ethos, excellent leadership, and a reputation for supporting both Experienced Teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) to thrive.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons across the KS2 curriculum
Prepare pupils for end-of-year SATs with a balanced, supportive approach
Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
Collaborate effectively with colleagues, support staff, and leadership
Uphold school policies, including safeguarding and behaviour management
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Recent teaching experience in Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6
Strong subject knowledge and understanding of Year 6 expectations
Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
