SEN Teacher – Gloucestershire
Class People are looking for compassionate and confident SEN Teachers to support specialist and mainstream schools across Gloucestershire. This role is ideal for teachers who understand the importance of personalised learning and thrive in environments where pupils need tailored support to feel safe, understood and ready to learn.
The Role
As an SEN Teacher, you will:
Plan and deliver adapted lessons for pupils with a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties
Implement EHCP targets and track meaningful progress
Use creative, structured teaching strategies that help pupils access learning
Work closely with TAs, therapists, SENCOs and wider support teams
Provide consistency, clear boundaries and a nurturing classroom environment
Support emotional regulation, communication and confidence-building
We work with a variety of settings including special schools, mainstream SEN bases, alternative provisions and nurture groups.
Who We’re Looking For
We’d like to hear from teachers who:
Hold QTS or equivalent teaching status
Have experience teaching pupils with additional needs
Use patient, adaptable and trauma-informed approaches
Communicate well and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Bring creativity, resilience and a commitment to pupil wellbeing
ECTs with SEN experience and experienced teachers transitioning into SEND are welcome.
