About the Role
As an SEN Teacher, you will deliver engaging and accessible lessons tailored to the individual needs of your pupils. You will play a vital role in creating an inclusive learning environment where children feel supported, valued, and motivated to succeed.
You will work closely with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, families, and external professionals to ensure pupils receive the support they need both academically and emotionally.
Pupils may present with a range of needs including:
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
ADHD
SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs)
Speech, Language and Communication Needs
Moderate Learning Difficulties
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver differentiated lessons that meet individual learning needs
Create a positive and supportive classroom environment
Monitor, assess, and track pupil progress
Support pupils' personal, social, and emotional development
Work collaboratively with support staff and wider school teams
Contribute to EHCP targets and personalised learning plans
What We're Looking For
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience working with pupils with additional needs is desirable
Strong communication and classroom management skills
A patient, adaptable, and resilient approach
A genuine passion for inclusive education
