Year 1 Class Teacher (Maternity Cover)

The Diocese of Gloucester Academies Trust seek to appoint a part-time class teacher. This role is a for Year 1 position to cover maternity leave. The working days are Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Hatherley Infant School and Nursery (Academy Status) is a warm and welcoming school situated in the city of Gloucester. The school is highly inclusive so that everyone feels a valued member of the school community. It is two-form entry with a nursery onsite.

We are looking for someone who will:

• Assist in lessons, activities, and classroom preparation.
• Provide one-to-one or small group support for students with SEN.
• Help to implement personalized learning plans and strategies.
• Support with personal care, if necessary.
• Building positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
• Liaise with teachers and the SENCO to discuss student progress.
• Quickly develop and establish positive relationships with children, parents, governors and all members of our school community.
• Maintain a clear, calm and consistent approach to working with children, parents, other staff and lead professionals.

This is a part-time post on a temporary contract to cover maternity leave. Start date ASAP
