This is a wonderful opportunity to become part of a school where every child is known, valued, and encouraged to flourish, and where staff are truly supported to grow both professionally and personally.

About Huntley Church of England Primary School

Huntley Church of England Primary School is a welcoming school with around 80 children on roll. Our small size is our strength: we are a dedicated team who share expertise, celebrate each other’s successes, and work collaboratively to ensure every child receives the very best education. We place a strong emphasis on personal development, helping our pupils to build resilience, self-confidence, and communication skills that prepare them for the journey ahead. As a Church of England school, our Christian values underpin everything we do, fostering a nurturing environment where everyone can thrive. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check.

The Role

Contract: Maternity cover | Pattern: Full time | Salary: MPS | Closing Date: 18th May 2026
As a valued member of our Key Stage Two team, you will play a vital role in shaping the learning experiences of our pupils. You will have the opportunity to inspire, challenge, and support children to achieve their very best, while being part of a caring and collaborative staff team. Your work will directly contribute to our vision of enabling every child to live life to the full.

Key Responsibilities:
• Create and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that ignite curiosity and foster a love of learning in every child.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to share ideas, develop best practice, and ensure the highest standards of teaching and learning.
• Take an active role in the life of the school, contributing to a positive, inclusive environment where every child feels safe, supported, and encouraged.
• Uphold and model our Christian values, promoting the welfare, wellbeing, and safeguarding of all pupils in your care.
• Embrace opportunities for professional growth, reflecting on your practice and striving for excellence in all you do.

The Person
We warmly welcome applications from teachers who are committed to making a difference and who thrive in a supportive, community-focused environment. Whether you are early in your career or bring a wealth of experience, we are looking for someone who will enrich our team with their passion and positivity.
We’re Looking For:

• A confident teacher with a secure understanding of the Key Stage Two curriculum and a desire to inspire every learner.
• Someone who demonstrates excellent classroom management and creates a positive, respectful learning environment.
• A compassionate individual who is committed to helping all children reach their full potential, regardless of background or ability.
• A team player who is willing to embrace and support the Christian ethos of our school, and who brings a sense of humour and warmth to their work.
• A professional with high expectations for themselves and their pupils, determined to provide an outstanding education for every child.
• Someone who is open to leading a subject area (desirable, but not essential) and eager to contribute to the wider life of the school.

Benefits of Joining Our Team:
• The chance to work alongside a passionate, experienced team who support one another and celebrate each other’s achievements.

This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and expects all staff, and volunteers, to share the same commitment. This position is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
