What is our school like?
Southrop C of E Primary is an exceptional nurturing and inclusive small village school with big school aspirations, which we are able to achieve through our dedicated staff team. We are a tight-knit community where pupils, families and staff feel happy and supported. A benefit of such a small school is that each member of the school community, pupils, parents and staff, feel they have an active part to play in shaping the nature of our school.

Vision
Our vision is to be a place where children achieve as well as feeling happy and secure as they grow. Enjoyment, well-being, good behaviour and mutual respect are at the heart of a Southrop education.

Though success in the classroom is key, extra-curricular activities – whether these are trips and visits, sport sessions, music, drama, art and craft or gardening – are equally important in a child's time at Southrop.

Our Christian ethos means we treat everyone with respect and compassion at Southrop. Our faith and friendships give us strength to persevere to achieve our aspirations.
Our vision statement comes from Mark 5:36.
" Don’t be afraid; just believe.”
Growth mindset is at the root of our approach to learning.
What if I fall? "Oh, but… What if you fly?
