SEN Teaching Assistant needed in North Somerset - SENTANorthSom

North Somerset

We're on the lookout for compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join our team and support pupils with special educational needs across a variety of school settings. This exciting opportunity is perfect for individuals who want to make a real difference and gain valuable experience in the SEN sector.

Whether you're experienced in SEN or looking to develop your skills in this area, we can offer you rewarding roles tailored to your strengths and aspirations!

Start date: ASAP or September 2025

About You:

- You're patient, empathetic, and passionate about supporting children with additional needs
- You have experience working with children with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, or other learning barriers
- You're flexible, proactive, and able to adapt to different classroom environments
- You have a reliable method of transport to reach schools in North Somerset

What you need to join the Class People Team:

- Relevant qualifications (or currently working towards them)
- Strong communication skills
- A genuine desire to support young learners
- An enhanced DBS certificate (registered with the Update Service or willing to apply through Class People)

Responsibilities of the Role:

- Provide 1:1 and small group support for children with SEN
- Assist with lesson preparation and adapting resources to suit individual needs
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment
- Work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to implement personalised support plans

Pay Rates:

- £97.48 - £109.06 per day (based on experience and responsibilities)
