We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic and motivated SEND Support Assistant to join our friendly and supportive primary school team. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers to support pupils’ learning, development and wellbeing, both in and out of the classroom.
Key Responsibilities
· Support teaching and learning, working with individuals and small groups
· Support pupils with additional needs with their academic, social and emotional development
· Help to create a positive, inclusive and safe learning environment for all pupils
· Supervise pupils during lessons, activities and playtimes as needed
The ideal candidate will have:
· Experience working with children (school-based experience desirable)
· Be patient, nurturing and enthusiastic about working with young learners
· Have good communication and teamwork skills
· Be flexible, reliable and willing to learn
· Hold relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2 or 3 TA qualification) or be willing to work towards one
