Purchasing Officer

Cirencester

Salary: £25,760 - £26,980

Contract: Permanent, full-time
Required: March 2024

We are looking to recruit for this important post from the 1st of March 2024 onwards to ensure a good hand-over with our long serving Procurement Officer who will be retiring after more than 20 years’ service at Cirencester College.

This is a great opportunity to join our busy and successful College team and to contribute to great post-16 education in our region as our cover letter indicates.

The College is an exempt charity, with a strongly pastoral, “can do” culture, where we care for and support each other to enable our students to reach outstanding achievement.

You will be working as part of the finance team, a key area of the College and responsible for co-ordinating and managing the College’s purchasing arrangements including securing adherence to financial procedures, providing professional advice to budget holders in spending departments on a range of purchasing matters and maximising efficient use of College funds through the promotion and development of central purchasing.  You will also be required to assist with general Finance Office functions as requested.
