Job description
A new Business Improvement Directorate was established a few years ago to drive innovation and organisational efficiencies so that we work smarter, and not harder, in our efforts to support people with disabilities to achieve their aspirations.
You may be surprised to know that we are one of the largest social care and education employers in the region. With ambitious plans to grow the charity we need a highly personable Project Delivery Manager to come on board and help us with the change required to achieve our organisational strategy.
It goes without saying that you’ll be a hands-on project delivery manager with knowledge of APMP, Prince or an equivalent project management approach. You’ll enjoy the thrill of meeting a deadline, have high level business analysis skills and, most importantly, the ability to connect with people and build strong professional relationships within the organisation to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
You will play an important role embedding our evolving project culture so that staff see project management as a service that can enhance their work. Future projects in the pipeline include the introduction of a new fundraising CRM, rostering planning and safeguarding management to name but a few.
You will be privy to a great deal of confidential information and so your tact and diplomacy is essential in this role, as is your ability to work flexibly at times.
You will also have staff management experience as you will be managing other project team members. Hybrid working can be accommodated in this role.
This is an exciting new role that has the potential to enhance the working practices of one of the UK’s leading disability charities. Now is an exciting time to join the team.
