Freelance Design Implementation Project Manager

Gloucestershire, London

ITSOKTU specialise in the design, build and refurbishment of residential and commercial spaces of all sizes, to include interior (and occasionally exterior) design. We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager to join us, on a freelance basis. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of the implementation process, as part of our team.

The right candidate will be confident to lead a project from the initial consultation to project completion. This will involve costing, pricing and profit, trades management and support on and off site, tracking invoices and receipts, whilst using an online system for team updates, (currently Monday.com). The Project Manager will ensure the client is well looked after, as well as ensuring the companies best interest is maintained.

They will have excellent communication skills, be thorough on costings and sourcing, work with full integrity and diligence on all aspects and details of the development. From meeting the client’s budget and style preferences, whilst being responsible for overseeing the work of vendors and contractors to ensuring that the project is completed on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will have experience and education in project management and a strong understanding of scheduling and delivery of information design process. Strong organisational skills are a must.

Duties & Responsibilities
• Serve as the primary point of contact with clients, vendors, and contractors throughout the duration of a project
• Understand the scope of work and develop a detailed project schedule and budget with the ITSOKTU team
• Manage day-to-day operations of the project site, including on-site staff and subcontractors
• Review and approve all invoices related to the project
• Ensure that the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the client’s satisfaction
• Resolve any issues that arise during the project
• Prepare progress reports for the client and company management
• Coordinate with other departments within the company to ensure that all aspects of the project are running smoothly
• Attend job site meetings, as well as meetings with clients, architects, engineers, and other professionals
• Select and specify all materials and finishes to be used in the project
• Develop construction documents and specifications
• Conduct quality control inspections throughout the project to ensure that all work meets the required standards

Required Skills and Qualifications
• Proven project management skills
• Minimum 5 years professional experience in interior design and implementation with a focus on project management
• Proven experience working with clients to develop creative solutions that meet their needs and budget
• Strong communication, presentation, and organisational skills
• Good working knowledge of project management tools such as Microsoft Office packages
• Commercial and contractual awareness
• Holder of a full UK driver's Licence

Preferred Skills and Qualifications
• Accreditation in Project management
• LEED accreditation
• Experience with construction documentation and administration
• Working knowledge of building codes and accessibility standards
• Familiarity with furniture, finishes, and materials
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign

ITSOKTU are Gloucestershire based and also have projects in London and Birmingham, the applicant will need to have a full driving licence and be expected to travel to client locations. The ideal candidate will be located in either Gloucestershire, or London.

Although this is on a freelance basis, remuneration and hours will be discussed on merit.
