We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Assurance and Practice Manager to join our renowned Social Work Academy on a 1 year FTC.

About the team:

The Academy is responsible for providing a welcoming and meaningful introduction to working in children’s services, optimising the many attractions of working for Gloucestershire County Council. It also ensures that practitioners and leaders receive the highest quality learning and development opportunities to improve the quality of their practice, support their continuing professional development and facilitate their career progression. The Academy also provides a key contribution to the evaluation of the effectiveness and impact of practice, in the lives of children and families, through the oversight of quality assurance and quality improvement. This in turns supports our ambition towards a good and outstanding service where professionals will want to invest longer-term in the lives of children and families in Gloucestershire.

 

About the role

 

As a member of this dynamic and driven leadership team, you will be part of delivering the vision of Gloucestershire’s Social Work Academy.

 

As the Quality Assurance and Advanced Practice Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the operational delivery of our Quality Assurance Framework, comprising a combination of audits, dip samples, observations and practice weeks. This will include the development of practitioners and leaders involved in quality assurance and improvement activity. You will offer leadership in translating learning from the evaluation of practice into the priorities of Quality Improvement and how this can be developed through the Academy and wider service. You will oversee the evaluation of the effectiveness and impact of the Academy learning and development offer, to support its continuous improvement.
