New Business and Marketing Manager
Cheltenham
Seeking a highly creative and motivated marketing & sales professional to join our team as New Business and Marketing Manager

We design and deliver impactful brand activations on behalf of a range of exclusive clients and have developed our own range of seasonal regional events

- White label production support into event, media and creative agencies
- Design & build services for experiential and brand activation events

What do we want?
A brilliant opportunity for an enthusiastic New Business & Marketing Manager interested in joining an established events production business working with global award-winning brands and immersive seasonal events.
About the role:
You will be working as a key member of the team at our HQ in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. Located in the village of Bentham, our facilities include: offices, meeting rooms, workshop, outdoor working spaces, and an old orchard and paddock for that lunchtime walk or thinking space.
Duties will include, but are not exclusive to:
- Develop new business opportunities for Tarren Production following a key strategy in the Gloucestershire region supporting a target of a minimum of £300k
- Proven track record and ability to generate leads, drive business growth and opportunities, convert sales and build long term client relationships with new customers
- Working with our in house staff – create, oversee and implement marketing and social media strategies for Tarren Production, Tarren Events and Furniture by Tarren, with a primary focus on our in-house seasonal events programme.
- Working with external PR and Digital Marketing agencies, plan and execute an integrated marketing campaign for our seasonal events programme with a ticket sales target of £1.2m.
- Excellent budget management skills, supporting the budgeting process to accurately monitor spend and ROI.
- Manage multiple activities and campaigns across different channels and platforms.
- Very good knowledge and experience in social media creation, organic and paid social advertising and event based marketing mix
- Oversee and manage segmented marketing plans for each element of our inhouse events programme & brands.
- Build and maintain strong relationship both internally and with external agencies, suppliers etc.
- Understand the media landscape, partners, influencers and key opinion leaders etc.
- Oversee and manage external relationships with promoters, influencers and collaborators.
- Develop and roll out key messaging and prompts for individual activities based on event type and audience profile, sales targets etc.
- Line manage other members of staff.
- Develop sponsorship opportunities for our flagship Winter Event, and sell sponsorship, supporting a target of £100k.
About you:
- You will have a minimum of 3-5 years marketing experience within the hospitality, events or show industry. You will also have the ability to market to both B2B and B2C markets
- You will have a minimum of 3-5 years new business experience with a proven track record of securing and uplifting business in line with an annual sales target
- We are looking for a creative, business minded individual to lead our marketing and new business activity, focusing on our seasonal event programme, and developing our events brand. With a professional approach and determination to deliver a sales and marketing strategy across multiple revenue streams, to achieve a combined sales in excess of £2 million with stretch targets year on year.

- Ability to write effective and engaging marketing communications for multiple platforms, outlets and audiences

The Important bit:
Location: Based in our office in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. (also on location at events where necessary, and will involve some evening and weekend hours, especially around our Winter events).
Contract: Full time, 40 hours / week. (6 month initial probationary period).
30 days annual leave (inc bank holidays), company Pension.
Dates: Start Date – ASAP (Flexible for the right candidate).
